The PC players are varied enough to keep it interesting as well (bluff a lot), occasionally make bad bets but it seems random enough to make it like playing a bunch of friends. What's not to like? Run around, be cute, and feed the entire universe to your new pet. The controls are fine, the interface is a little clunky, but the overall gameplay is mostly pretty straightforward - run around and get Maw to eat everything. Be sure to find new and interesting things to feed Maw, if only for the neat new effects it gives.. Poor game from a poor series. Not worth your time or money.Get Quake instead. It's a different genere of game but it's still manages to be better in every way.The combat in Hexen II is clunky and made difficult by the inability to freely use the mouse without holding a button. Bugs prevented me from progressing (such as doors refusing to open as scripted). Poor level design also caused unsolvable issues - such as jumping into a shallow pool that had a ledge higher than you could jump, permanently trapping you.At points I had to bring up the console and use 'noclip' just to get past moments that bugged. This wasn't due to me missing part of the puzzle either, as I referenced everything online.Literally everything, the puzzles are so obscure and without any logical context that I had to use a walkthrough for most of my playthrough.Pace is further interrupted with difficult to see switches and hidden areas that are obtusely hidden, requiring attrition and general time wasting tactics to find.There is just no flow to anything, the combat is difficult due to poor controls, the puzzles non-sensical and the level design made to waste your time.This game isn't worth anyone's time or money. Ninja Reflex just doesn't seem to pack a ton of value, and the repetitive nature of the minigames may grate on you after a while. There's also a sense that this is probably a much better game on the Wii, since that system actually requires you to use your arms like a ninja. Overall, I would say it's "Okay" about a 6\/10.
